Humble beginnings
Bean Doe is born from a love of coffee. We open our first roastery in Taiwan and begin cultivating beans in Vietnam.

Asia
Nothing more than that — a few people with a shared passion for good coffee and for sustainability. Everything since has grown, slowly, out of those two things.
Bean Doe began with coffee-loving professionals who believed the cup could be better if the ground beneath it was cared for first. We went to the land — promoting organic, eco-friendly farming methods that benefit the soil, the plants, and the people who tend them.
As the trees thrived and the farmers' smiles grew, our plan grew with them. We built a roasting factory of our own, imported the equipment we wanted rather than the equipment that was easy, and launched our first brand. Today the same beans travel from our farms in Yunnan to roasteries in Taiwan, Shanghai, and Malaysia — and on to the cup, under our own name and under the names of the partners who trust us with theirs.

Advanced Taiwanese roasting and cultivation techniques arrive, with a professional facility in Yunnan for a stable, consistent green bean supply.

We move into Shanghai, introducing our flavours to one of China's most dynamic markets.

A state-of-the-art roasting facility opens in Malaysia — meeting demand across Southeast Asia, one cup at a time.

Our farm sits in China's Yunnan Province, renowned for a stable supply of high-quality beans. Yunnan is located within the internationally recognised "golden belt" for coffee — unparalleled conditions for growing.
Ninety-eight per cent of China's coffee is grown in Yunnan, mainly in mountainous regions above 1,000 metres, predominantly Arabica — ensuring specialty-grade quality from the very start of the supply chain.
